YOMP CASH HANDED OVER

A NUMBER of groups or organisations benefited greatly from their participation in the recent yomp during Tartan Week.

For example, among those in the 37 which took part were Arbroath Rotary Club which raised around £1,100 which it will disburse to good causes.

Cancer charities raised £944 and the Special Friends Club was sponsored to the tune of £573.50.

Arbroath High School FPs collected £263 and Arbroath Netball players had £299. The RNLI yompers raised £240 and 7 Battery at RM Condor collected £200.

Contributions to the Arbroath Fireworks Fund now stand at £350.

Organisers have thanked everyone who was involved in the event, which has benefited organisations both local and national.
